Welcome Karen P. Anderson to Proactive AI!

My dear friend and outgoing General Counsel of Verifone– Karen is joining our team August 6th as Chief Legal Officer and GM of Business Administration ⚖️

I’m still pinching myself that Karen wants to take part in our startup! 

Karen and I first met when our kids were classmates at Dunn School. Over the years, Karen and I have had countless meaningful conversations about the tech industry. We discovered that we have so many of the same joys in common! But also, we share the same concerns about the future of AI specifically. 

Some AI companies have demonstrated an attitude to overlook or disregard the law. Additionally, early stage companies do not typically think upfront about the legal considerations of the technology they are building. Being proactive is in the name of our company, so we need to be ahead of the curve. That is why Karen matters so much not only to our path to success, but the ethics of our business practices. 

Karen brings a wealth of expertise to our company. Prior to her time at Verifone, she was an attorney in house at Flextronics and Intuit and at the tech-centric Fenwick & West law firm. Her Silicon Valley roots run deep as she grew up in Cupertino and earned her J.D. from Stanford Law School after undergraduate studies at Princeton.
